Who is Jakob Møbler

Jakob Møbler was founded in January 2024 by cabinetmaker and designer Jakob Juhl Bjørling. With a furniture craft education from Svendborg in 2019 and a bachelor’s degree in design from Kolding in 2023, Jakob combines traditional woodworking skills with a contemporary design approach.

The studio creates furniture, art prints, and interior objects for the home, all rooted in the belief that form should follow function and beauty should arise naturally from purpose. Old-fashioned production methods are embraced, not out of nostalgia, but because they work — producing results that last and can be repaired, rather than replaced.

Sustainability is not treated as an added layer, but as the foundation of every decision. Local resources and collaborations are prioritized, ensuring that each piece is as honest in its origin as it is in its design.
